Approved in the U.S. against ASME/ANSI A112.18.8 standards, as an alternative to a tubular P-trap.
HepvO can also be used on mobile homes, boats, and secondary homes and on fixtures such as lavatories, bath tubs, sink, bidet, washing machine, garbage disposal (vertical only), boiler condensate, air conditioning condensate, overflow, dishwasher and shower.

We installed Hepvo valves in all of the sinks in our vacation home in the Sierras a few years ago. We found the hepvo valve on the internet, installed them and are very happy with their performance.
The hepVo is much better than a "P trap". First if you only occupy your home part of the year the water will evaporate and allow sewer gases into the residence. The hepVo does not have this problem. And if you want to remove it for cleaning there is NO residual water to deal with.

I have installed one in my mountain home shower drain, which was prone to freezing. Heat tapes fail. This installation is just what I was looking for.
We really like our Hepvo Waterless p trap. For four years we had to put a wash cloth in our master shower drain to keep out sewer gases, as our shower came from the factory with no trap. Due to space restraints you could not install a normal p-trap. Again, the Hepvo Waterless p trap works great.
